Automatic EMU Calculation MudCats reduces the overwhelming task of complying with today's stringent requirements for the calculation and reporting of measurement uncertainty. MudCats automatically calculates each test point's Test Accuracy Ratio/ Test Uncertainty (TAR/TUR) and Estimated Measurement Uncertainty (EMU) quickly, easily and accurately. Based on MudCats' innovative test point collection and storage system, MudCats can automatically calculate EMU's on a point-by-point basis. What takes an engineer days of research and calculation is now accomplished with a click of the mouse. Conformance Testing MudCats takes the guesswork out of determining conformance or nonconformance with a specification by incorporating the ability to automatically apply uncertainty-based guard bands to calibration tolerances. Managing conformance testing requirements is easily accomplished utilizing MudCats calibration software tools to evaluate measurement uncertainty and apply documented decision rules.. Reverse Traceability and Failure Analysis MudCats Instrument Range Utilization Report automatically tracks the function, range, and test point information between each standard and unit under test. MudCats' unique test-point based archiving system provides reverse traceability down to an individual test point, and provides the necessary data to quickly and accurately perform failure analysis. All of this is maintained in your historical database, enhancing your ability to address potentially disastrous failures. Interval Analysis MudCats performs statistical analysis on each test point of each asset, for each make/model class you calibrate. This powerful feature means that you can make realistic assessments of the reliability of any asset, and adjust the calibration intervals accordingly, based on historic data. Utilizing the NCSLI RP-1 A3 methodology, MudCats' Interval Analysis not only adds to your bottom line by reducing unnecessary calibrations, it also allows you to provide an additional valuable service to your customers. Specification Tracking SpecTrack provides a means for instrument specifications from various manufacturers to be stored in a common format that is usable by other modules within the MudCats suite and as a standalone viewing, editing and reporting system. These electronic versions of instrument specifications are referred to as specsheets and contain detailed information about the capabilities and specifications of an instrument. The instrument specification data stored in the SpecTrack database enables MudCats to assign calibration standards, and their related function, range, and accuracy specifications to calibration data sheets at the test point level. Units of Measure The Units of Measure system manages the units of measure used throughout the suite. MudCats employs an intelligent unit of measure system that understands the relationships between different units of measure and can automatically interpret and convert units of measure within the system. Standards Usage MudCats' Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) provides a quick and comprehensive check of any Standard's usage history, instantly establishing reverse traceability and the records needed for an engineering review.
