Automatic EMU, TAR/TUR, Guard Band tolerances

MudCats automatically calculates Estimated Measurement Uncertainty (EMU), Test Accuracy Ratio/Test Uncertainty Ratio (TAR/TUR), and Guard Band Tolerances from specifications embedded into datasheets and SpecTrack specsheet data. More than a simple automation tool, this capability also facilitates the automatic implementation of guard banding and conformance testing. Conformance test rules and formats are fully configurable. These innovative capabilities dramatically reduce the required time and skill level to accomplish statistically advanced calibrations.

Units of Measure Interpreter/ Converter

MudCats' intelligent units converter revolutionizes datasheet design, uncertainty calculations and calibration data collection by automatically interpreting and converting units of measure between your Standard(s) and the unit under test. Automatic EMU, TAR/TUR, Guard Band tolerances and calculations facilitate rapid implementation of conformance testing, and conversion errors are virtually eliminated, guaranteeing faster and more reliable calibrations.

Custom Tolerance Calculator

In a perfect world, all tolerance calculations would consist of simple, straightforward components, such as "% IV", "% FS", "Fixed Value" or "dB". Unfortunately, we don't live in a perfect world. Fortunately, MudCats incorporates a custom calculator design wizard to deal with these not so simple, complex tolerance statements. Our Custom Tolerance Calculator is used to calculate tolerances based on non-standard specifications. Multi-Channel Data Collection

Calibrate up to 8 instruments at one time utilizing MudCats' exclusive multi-channel data collection technology. Each channel displays "As Found" and "As Left" data, and automatically calculates percent of tolerance and out-of-tolerance conditions independently. Individual channels can be edited, saved and printed independently or collectively. Multi-channel data collection results in significant increases in productivity.

Automated Calibration

Not your over-the-counter style ATE, MudCats Automated Calibration commands are easily created and executed, with no instrument drivers required. Create your automation using parameterized commands. Wizards assist you in the configuration of the command's parameters. Add automation where you want, when you want. Automation can be a combination of text instructions, graphics, GPIB (IEEE-488) or RS-232 instrument interface commands, variable inputs, and math equations. You may automate an entire datasheet or just a few test points. Combine instrument-specific automation with multi-channel calibrations and your production soars.

Certificates and Data Reports

The end result of all the calibration data collection, calculations, quality control & training is the Calibration Certificate and associated Calibration Report. Revision Control

Calibration datasheets, measurement results and subsequent revisions are maintained and controlled through MudCats' exclusive Revision Control process, in accordance with ANSI/ISO/IEC 17025 Section 4.3 Document Control. Datasheets and calibration results are electronically approved and time/date stamped for approval by the authorized user. Previous datasheet or calibration results are inactivated, yet maintained in the system for historical documentation archiving.
